“For more than a year, millions of people have come together to reject the idea that power belongs to kings, billionaires, or politicians who believe they are above the people and the law.
Now, we are taking the next step, turning people power into voter power. Unlike previous No Kings actions, No Kings: Vote Early, is not purely a protest. Instead, on October 17th, it's a day of nonpartisan voter participation: we are bringing our community together to make a plan to vote early and ensuring every eligible voter understands their options for how to vote and has the opportunity to make their voice heard.
Because no one person gets to decide our leaders before voters do. On October 17th, join us in local events across the country as we get out the early vote and say it loud: no thrones, no crowns, no kings..”

“In this fast-moving weekly zoom, we find our place of contribution in this fast-moving resistance movement. Each week, we survey a wide range of strategies, leaders, and organizations to learn how we can amplify our voices and contribute to midterm election victories. Along the way, we feel a sense of connection and confidence in our voice. Rooted in nonviolence and compassion, we close each session with a call for greater compassion and hope.”

Volunteer Opportunity
“To become an Election Worker in LA County, you must be:
18 years of age or older (unless participating in the Student Election Worker Program)
A U.S. citizen and registered to vote in California OR a Legal Permanent Resident
Bilingual Election Workers are highly needed!
Play a critical role in the democratic process
Earn $100 for each day served at the vote center
Earn $80 for completing all training requirements
Bilingual Election Workers who speak a qualified language receive a $100 stipend!”

Non-Partisan Get Out The Vote Workshop

“Hosted by the Claremont United Church of Christ, organized by Indivisible Claremont/Inland Valley, and open to all, this workshop will feature several tables with activities to help you get ready to vote and to cast your vote early! Come together with the community to exercise your right, your responsibility, and your freedom to have your say in our government “Of the people, by the people, and for the people.”
Table activities will include:
Check your eligibility and voter registration: Learn what to do if you’re eligible but not registered to vote.
Find a place to cast an early vote: Early voting locations and ballot dropbox locations.
Learn about your ballot: See and use non-partisan information sources about the many (and complex!) choices your ballot will include
Help more people to vote: Write letters for the “Vote Forward” project, encouraging other people to vote.
This event is non-partisan. Table attendants will not tell you what or who to vote for.”
